Outdoor Day
& Fall Campout 2008
Saturday, October 25, 2008
Anticipation builds … Outdoor Day and
our first campout of this school year is almost here!
We hope that you and your family will join us for the fun and
take part of the Pack 166 Outdoor Day & Fall
Campout. This will be held at Shepherd’s Woods
just north of Mooresville off Highway 21 & 115 just past
Shepherds Elementary. A map is available on the
website. Activities for the scouts will be held
from 2 PM to 5 PM. If you plan to campout
overnight, you are welcome to come earlier to set up your
tent. It is for tent camping only – no
RVs. The pack meeting will be held around a
campfire following dinner.
At Tuesday’s den meeting, you will
need to provide the following information:
- Is your scout participating in the Outdoor
Activities (2 PM to 5 PM)?
- Do you and your family plan to purchase
dinner through the Pack at a cost of $5 each (maximum family cost
is $20)? If so, we need a count from you and
payment on Tuesday at the den meeting.. We will
be serving burgers, hotdogs, salads, and chips.
You are responsible for your own beverage.
And your den leader will tell you what to bring for your
dessert contribution.
- Do you plan to camp overnight with your
den? The pack provides pancakes and sausage for
breakfast for those camping overnight. We need
a count to help with meal planning.
Remember that this is a family event, so bring
the whole family! And while your scout is onsite,
a parent will be required to be in attendance.
Thanks for understanding and complying with this important
Cub Scout rule. We will look forward to seeing
you there!
