Hey guys I just wanted to get everyone updated on Popcorn. We have a about 4 boys that are just over or very close to the $1,000 mark. This is great, we only had 3 last year and we still have some time. Keep on pushing.

Fill it up is due next week and you could still make it happen. Here's how...

Friday - after school sell to your neighbors, one each side and 2 across the street... that gets you 4

Saturday - after the blitz call your Grandparents and other relatives till you get 6 sales... 6

Sunday - take it to church and ask 5 people to support your pack, I'm sure they will... 5

Monday - have your Mom take it to work... all she needs is 5

Tuesday - have your Dad take it to work... this could get you another 5

Sharing your goal is also a great way to encourage someone to buy from you.

Upcoming dates....

This Saturday we are having our last Neighborhood Blitz. You needed to RSVP for this, but if you still want to come we will be meeting at the Scout Hut at 10:00 and leaving from it to get to our site. You will earn a special patch if you participate.

Tuesday - Your fill it up sheets and money are due to get your $10.00 gift card. This is still possible if you give just a little effort.

Tuesday - Anyone who still has out popcorn for show and sell must turn it in. All popcorn and money is due no exceptions.

Wednesday is our Walmart Blitz. The time slots are 2-4 and 4-6. Please email me soon to get your time slot as 4-6 is almost full. Please plan on staying with your children. We can not be responsible for your child in such unpredictable surroundings.

I've got a challenge for you! As many of you know, I have NEVER taken a pie for popcorn sales -- and in fact, I wasn't planning on doing it this year. But to give you and your scouts an incentive, I have come up with an idea. Here's how you can get me to take a pie ... if 45 scouts in the pack sell at least $200 in popcorn, I will take a pie. "Who gets to throw it?" you ask. YOU do If your den has the highest percentage of scouts who sell at least $200 in popcorn.

To top it all off, I'd like to suggest that you set a challenge between your den and other den too! Consider issuing a challenge that your den can have a higher percentage of your scouts to reach the $200 level! And if your den wins that challenge, you get to throw a pie in the other leader's face. For example, Damian, you could challenge Tommy. And Chad, you could challenge Diana. Darrell, you may think I've left the tigers out, so you'll get a special treat if your den has a higher percentage of scouts to reach $200 -- you get to throw a pie in each den leaders' face and mine too!

Bring it on, guys! This is a very attainable goal looking at last year's numbers. Get the word out to your scouts NOW!

Well it's that time again and I'm very excited about getting back into our scouting year. Our den and pack meetings are starting a little late this year due to our council assigned round ups that start this week.

I have been in meetings and busy with our main fundraiser of the year which is POPCORN!!! I picked up our show and sell popcorn last night and the kick off date for this area is next Friday. We would like to get a jump start on other packs that are also starting late because of round ups so our first Blitz Day, the day we go door to door to sell, will be next Saturday the 13th. We will meet at the scout hut, divide into groups, get our popcorn, and head to our neighborhoods. We plan to meet at 9:00 and go through till 2:00. Everyone will need a little cash to pay for a bit to eat while they are out selling.

I'm very excited about the different prizes that boys can win this year. More information will come about that and those who attend Saturday will be able to leave with the take order sheets.

For Saturday to run smoothly, it would help if everyone could let me know who will be able to attend and the times that they will be participating now. That way you are not looking for us and I could assign neighborhoods for late comers.
